Bookshelf: Comics History & Analysis
Scott McCloud has just released Reinventing Comics, the follow-up to his popular and influential Understanding Comics. The second volume explores how comics have traditionally been produced and distributed, and how it's all changing with the advent of digital technology. As in the first volume, Scott deftly explains his mind-bending theories by visually portraying himself as a comic character traveling through the pages. Both of these books are great for anyone involved in visual media.
