The Book of Kells — Written around the year 800 AD, the Book of Kells is one of the finest examples of an illuminated manuscript, and one of the few to survive to the present intact.
The Bayeux Tapestry — an embroidery roughly 20 inches tall and 230 feet long that tells the story of the events leading up to and including the Battle of Hastings on October 14, 1066.
